Climbing For A Cause

Masters Students Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to eradicate polio

The Students Unite to End Polio project was initiated by two Rotary International Scholars from the United States, Kasia and Cecilia. Inspired by their scholarship opportunity to study International Development at the University of Manchester, this campaign seeks  to address a great humanitarian challenge  which once plagued as many as 350,000 individuals worldwide. Through this self-funded climb, it is our hope to increase awareness of  the Polio virus while generating financial support for its complete eradication through a Rotary International funded project: Polio Plus. 100% of proceeds are donated to the charity.

TheStudents Unite to End Polio team consists of ten post graduate students from the Global Development Institute at the University of Manchester, the third leading program for the study of International Development.

To raise $25,000 for the eradication of Polio globally. All proceeds will be donated to Polio Plus in an effort to eliminate Polio in the remaining infected areas and to raise awareness.
